Embrace Equity Campaign

BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF SHARED STORIES & SHARED SPACES

The Embrace Equity Campaign is part of the community art project Art-Flow Walls 2023 where 12 walls of Hyderabad are being painted by 12 teams of local artists in the themes of equity. You can check details of the project at https://artflowmov.fun/art-flow-walls/

The objective of this social campaign is to engage the community in a transformative art project that promotes equity, inclusivity, and social cohesion. By inviting people to contribute their views, stories, and resources, we aim to create a powerful and visually striking display on city walls that represents the collective aspirations and experiences of our diverse community.

A book with all the artworks and writings related to them is also being published in this project by the end of 2023. Top 3 participants of AFM Rangmanch #2 will be given an opportunity to be a part of this book.

We invite individuals from all walks of life to come together and share their unique experiences, stories, and perspectives, fostering an atmosphere of empathy and connection as this campaign is directed towards an event ‘AFM Rangmanch #2’ happening on Oct 15th 2023.

AFM Rangmanch provides a platform for individuals to put their voices at the forefront, unleashing the power of words to provoke thought, inspire change, and ignite meaningful conversations. Participants are encouraged to express their personal narratives, explore social issues, and challenge societal norms through spoken word, storytelling, and monologues.

Join us in this transformative experience where words become catalysts for change. Together, we will build bridges of understanding, break down barriers, and inspire a future where equity is embraced by all.

Criteria for Evaluating Performances

When evaluating performances of spoken word poetry, storytelling, and monologues, the following criteria will be considered:

  • Content & Theme:   The content of the piece should be in English  and meaningful to the theme selected by the participant,  it should be engaging, and original which should be delivered  under 5 minutes.
  • Delivery:   The delivery should be clear, fluid, and able to convey the emotions and meaning of the piece effectively.
  • Pacing:   The pacing of the performance should be appropriate to the piece, with pauses and breaks used effectively to enhance the impact of the performance.
  • Body Language:   The performer’s body language, gestures, and expressions should be consistent with the content and mood of the piece, adding to the overall impact of the performance.
  • Connection with Audience:   The performer should be able to connect with the audience, engaging them and drawing them into the performance.

By considering these important criteria, performances of spoken word poetry, storytelling, and monologues can be evaluated fairly, accurately, and effectively.
